In 2013, Thirman L Milner Elementary School in Hartford, Connecticut was deemed by The CT Mirror as being one of the State’s most troubled schools. However, at today’s 1st Annual Calling All Brothers African & African American History Bee five brave eighth grade boys from Thirman Milner Elementary School took home a first place win in this year’s history bee competition.
The eighth grade winners who competed with four other Hartford schools are very excited about today’s victory and honored to represent all schools in the North End of Hartford with their win.
Coach Ryan and AJ Johnson are big advocates for higher learning and education in Hartford, CT and say, they’re both extremely proud of these extraordinary youngsters on a job well done!
